Pricing & quotes
Every risk is priced on its own facts.
There is no price list. Insurers underwrite each risk individually. Here is what moves the number.
Four factors that move a premium
1
Asset value insured
The sum insured is the starting point. Higher values attract more scrutiny and sometimes need several insurers sharing the risk.
2
Custody arrangement
Air-gapped cold storage with geographic separation prices very differently from balances on a third-party exchange.
3
Security controls
Multisig, hardware security modules, MFA, allow-listing and documented procedures can move a premium substantially.
4
Business revenue
For liability lines, revenue and client numbers indicate the scale of exposure to third-party claims.
