About
A brokerage that sounds like an insurer.
To make digital-asset risk legible, insurable where it can be, and honestly described where it cannot.
Our story
Admiral Insurance Canada was founded in Toronto in 2026 by a small group of insurance brokers, security engineers and former treasury professionals who kept meeting the same problem: Canadian digital-asset businesses could not get clear answers about what was insurable, and the people asking the questions could not get clear answers about the risks.
We set out to build a brokerage that sounds like an insurer — calm, specific and unexcited — while understanding the technology well enough to ask the right questions about key ceremonies, oracle dependencies and correspondent banking chains.

Underwriting philosophy
Controls before premiums
The best outcome is a loss that never happens. We start with controls, and price follows.
Exclusions in plain sight
We show what is not covered as prominently as what is.
No hype
We never describe coverage in promotional terms, and never imply a claim will be paid.
Advisory board
We are forming an advisory board drawn from underwriting, blockchain security, Canadian financial regulation and claims. Its role is to challenge our risk descriptions and review the content we publish. Members will be named once appointments are confirmed.
